The photo above was taken on the lawns in front of The State Library of Victoria in September 1974. It was shot during a holiday on the way home from Mt Kosciuszko (and here). It was about the same time i got my first kit, the blue Tempo
The photo below is from a trip with Andrea to Melbourne in February 2012, 37 years later taken in exactly the same spot.
I had the original photo with me, and it was great to work out where it was initially taken. (On tour to Melbourne with the Primitive Painters in 1991 i though it might have been in front of a building at the Melbourne Uni.) This happened on a 38 degree day while travelling east on a tram down Latrobe St, at the intersection with Swanston St when i spotted the columns.

The Three Little Pigs with Phil Bray and Michael Winter played a "nice" art exhibition opening at the TinCat. We also played a party in Glen Osmond where the lounge doors opened into a tunnel that went for about 100 metres. It used to be a silver mine. Phil played Ben Fold's Steinway that he stored there.

Chris was a great guy who i looked forward to seeing each fortnight at the DB Office in Hindley St. We were both  delivery drivers for the magazine. We also worked together at the Big Day Out. I took over his south run into the hills delivering the DB Magazine, and still do it today 10 years later.
I will be playing the benefit concert mentioned below the picture of Chris ( on the left ) with The Chris Finnen Band on Sunday 16th September at The Gov (www.ruokday.com.au)
